STERLING, Colo.—Sterling police say the former sheriff of Logan County was found dead from a gunshot wound in a remote section of his property.
Authorities are not saying much about the death of 60-year-old Robert Bollish, whose body was found by his family on Friday. Police received the call at 12:23 a.m.
Sterling police say there is no threat to the public.
Bollish was sheriff’ from 1994 to 2006. He had announced this month that he would run again for Logan County sheriff.
