A 10-month-old Longmont baby who was rushed to a hospital Thursday morning after being found in distress in a bathtub has been identified as Jeremiah M. Sosa.

The infant died at Longmont United Hospital, according to the Boulder County coroner’s office. The cause of death is pending, but foul play is not suspected.

Police responding to calls for help found drugs in the home in plain view. The mother, 27, whose name has not been released, was a guest in the home in the 400 block of Collyer Street with the infant and a 2-year-old sibling.

An investigation is underway, police said. Kieran Nicholson, The Denver Post
