DENVER—The Denver Post and The Durango Herald received first place for General Excellence in their respective size categories Friday in the annual Colorado Associated Press Editors and Reporters contest.
The contest covers work done between Sept. 1, 2008, and Aug. 31, 2009, among the state’s AP member newspapers. The awards were presented Friday night in Denver.
Joe Amon of The Denver Post was awarded Best of Show for his General News Photo, “A Tear for Progress.”
Awards were presented in two divisions: Division I for papers under 30,000 circulation, and Division II for circulation over 30,000.
