A man is in stable condition after he was shot in the chest this afternoon during a drive-by shooting, authorities say.
The man was rushed to Denver Health Medical Center following the 12:50 p.m. shooting near West 32nd Avenue and Clay Street, said John White, Denver police spokesman.
The 36-year-old man was in a car when he was struck by a bullet. Another man who was near the victim took off running after the shooting, White said.
Police would like to speak with the witness. Investigators do not yet have a suspect and do not know what motivated the shooting, he said. Police are not releasing the name of the victim.
