At 51 years old, Hubertus Von Hohenlohe, a German prince who competes for Mexico, probably skied his last Olympic race Saturday. “I had a lot of fun,” said Von Hohenlohe, who was born in Mexico City. “This could be it.” For skiing, that is. Von Hohenlohe has a new plan for the 2014 Sochi Games. He wants to take up curling, perhaps run his own team. Skip Von Hohenlohe does have a certain royal ring to it. “Haven’t tried it, but I think I can do it,” said Von Hohenlohe, who finished in 46th place in the slalom, 28.46 seconds behind winner Giuliano Razzoli. “Curling looks very good.” Not that he wants to step away from skiing. It’s just that he’s feeling his age these days, being around all the young kids. There were three 16-year-old skiers in the slalom.
