SUNRISE, Fla. — The Penguins acquired defenseman Jordan Leopold on Monday in a deal with the Panthers.
Florida traded Leopold to Pittsburgh for a second-round pick in the 2010 NHL draft. The move comes two days before the league’s trade deadline.
Leopold, a former member of the Avalanche, has seven goals and 11 assists this season.
No Crosby tonight for Miller
PITTSBURGH — Sabres goalie Ryan Miller, the MVP of the Olympics, spent the day traveling from the Vancouver Games to Pittsburgh and will not start tonight’s game against Sidney Crosby and the Penguins.
Backup Patrick Lalime is expected to get the start to give Miller an extra day’s rest.
