Debuting in second place with $18.6 million was the Warner Bros. police romp “Cop Out,” starring Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan. Opening in third was Overture Films’ horror tale “The Crazies” with $16.5 million. Meanwhile, “Avatar” became the first movie ever to top the $700 million mark domestically.
