Los Lonely Boys’ Garza brothers played an unusually rocking acoustic set at the Boulder Theater last night. Photo by Brian Carney.
Tex-Mex trio and real-life brothers brought their Acoustic Brotherhood Tour to the last night for a gig that, while technically all-acoustic, rocked the packed house with impassioned playing and an incredibly loud sound. After openers Alejandro Escovedo and Carrie Rodriguez, the Garza Brothers of Los Lonely Boys played a set that paid tribute to their friend/influence Carlos Santana with the song “Evil Ways” and included originals such as “Hollywood,” “Diamonds” and their 2004 breakout hit “Heaven.” — Brian Carney
