DENVER—The state patrol says a pair of ladders slide off the back of a pickup truck and onto Interstate 76 in Weld County and caused a semi-truck to crash.

The patrol says the driver was not injured, but the semi’s side tank hit a guard rail and spilled about 75 gallons of diesel fuel.

Trooper David Hall says they’re now looking for the pickup truck driver who collected the ladders and drove away. Witnesses described the truck as being white with yellow lettering.

The accident happened Wednesday evening about 40 miles northeast of Denver.
