FORT COLLINS, Colo.—A man who plead guilty in a triple shooting that left one person dead has been sentenced to 36 years in prison.
The sentence Wednesday was part of a plea agreement in which prosecutors agreed to drop six other charges against 21-year-old Jeremiah Christopher Bryant. Bryant’s co-defendant in the case, Joshua Douglas Renn of Loveland, is serving a life sentence for his role in shootings that killed 30-year-old Clinton Hiney and injured 55-year-old Patrick Moore and 37-year-old John Lyman in January 2009.
Bryant has said he was present when the shootings happened but that he didn’t shot anyone. But prosecutors say they found his DNA on one of the guns used in the shooting.
Bryant plead guilty to second-degree murder.
