Students in the Pueblo 70 School District next year will go to a four-day school week in a money-saving move approved Tuesday by the school board.
Eliminating school on Fridays will save the rural district of about 9,000 students up to $1.7 million dollars a year in utilities, transportation costs and pay for hourly employees, according to the district’s website.
Students will go to school about an hour longer each day during the Monday through Thursday week next year.
