SAN DIEGO — A 30- year-old sex offender has been charged with murdering Chelsea King, a 17-year-old San Diego County girl who vanished after heading off for a run in a park. Her body was found Tuesday.
Prosecutors say John Albert Gardner III also faces rape allegations in a December attack on a woman from Colorado Springs. An attorney entered pleas of not guilty on Gardner’s behalf Wednesday.
