Back to school:
The annual Nike coach of the year football clinic is Friday through Sunday at the Red Lion Hotel, 3200 S. Parker Road, Aurora. Always one of the largest gatherings of its kind for levels of the game from college to youth, this year’s list of speakers includes Oklahoma’s Bob Stoops, left, Virginia Tech’s Frank Beamer, Iowa State’s Paul Rhoads and Idaho’s Robb Akey (a Wasson High School graduate) as well as area college and high school coaches.
