On a cold Colorado night, there’s nothing like the warm, uplifting embrace of a solid reggae band. , a group that hails from the Virgin Island of St. Croix, provided just that. The songs are thoughtful and melodic, encouraging peace and vitality with roots vibrations and an inherent sense of rhythm and rhyme. Nothing on stage at the on Friday felt forced. The performance was laid back and the songs predominantly mellow, but the crowd had no problem keeping the energy up, as full as the room was with Boulder’s finest dreads and most positive music supporters. Midnite succeeded in reviving us all with a couple hours of tropical relief. — Lindsay McWiliams
