Boulder County officials are looking for ideas on how cyclists and motorists can better share the roads.
An online survey, called “The Road Code,” is being conducted at until March 24.A printed copy is available by calling Hannah Polow at 720-564-2667, via e-mail at hpolow@bouldercounty.org.
The survey is an initiative of the Boulder County Mountain Canyon Cyclist-Motorist Working Group, which was formed by the Sheriff’s Office and county transportation officials last fall to develop ideas on safety and cooperation between bike riders and drivers.
The survey will guide the group and the county on ways to educate those who share the narrow, windy canyon roads, as well as potential road signs and regulations, the group stated.
Once a pilot program is approved, it will be applied in Left Hand Canyon, James Canyon and Lee Hill Drive before being expanded to other areas, the county said in a statement today.
