MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. — Google is testing a television-programming search service with Dish Network, according to The Wall Street Journal. Citing people familiar with the matter, the newspaper reported that the service, which runs on TV set-top boxes containing Google software, allows users to search for shows on the Dish satellite-TV service and for videos from websites like Google’s YouTube. It also lets users personalize a lineup of shows.
