The Rapids signed goalkeeper Ian Joyce today, adding depth at the position less than three weeks before the start of the season.
Joyce, 24, is a product of Seton Hall and played most recently with Southend United, where he made two appearances. He had a brief trial stint with the Rapids this preseason.
Also today, the Rapids released forward Facundo Diz and didn’t offer a contract to defender Chad Borak, a third-round pick in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft.
