The International Brotherhood of Teamsters airline division has filed a request for an injunction against Republic Airways — parent company of Frontier Airlines — for allegedly abrogating its collective-bargaining contract with Frontier mechanics.
The request, filed late Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Milwaukee, contends Republic officials intend to make Frontier mechanics at its Milwaukee maintenance facility nonunion.
Of 135 Frontier mechanics offered a move to Milwaukee, 35 volunteered to go. However, Teamsters officials said only 17 began work Monday.
