Violent crime continues to plague students of the Auraria campus as a college student and his friend were robbed at knifepoint and beaten with brass knuckles Wednesday night.
The attack happened about 9:20 p.m. as the pair left campus and were beaten and robbed a short distance away at a Circle K store at West Colfax Avenue and Mariposa Street. Before Wednesday night’s incident, there had been four assaults on students, on or near campus, since Feb. 16. Campus security and administrators held a town-hall meeting earlier Wednesday to alert students.
