BOULDER — A single-story home in north Boulder was destroyed by a fire on Wednesday night.

Dispatchers received a report of flames coming from the home at 2484 Yarmouth Ave. at 6:35 p.m., Boulder County sheriff’s Sgt. Vinnie Montez said. By the time firefighters from Boulder Rural Fire Protection District were on scene, flames were coming from the roof of the home, and the house soon was engulfed in flames.

Montez said the homeowner got out of the house before firefighters arrived and was not injured. There was no one else in the house at the time.

The cause of the fire is not known, but Montez said it does not appear to be suspicious at this time.
