The Avalanche didn’t practice today, but the team reduced its active roster when it sent winger Ryan Stoa back to the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League.
Stoa was recalled last week and played three games before being a healthy scratch against Vancouver Tuesday and Florida Thursday. In nine games with Colorado this season, the former University of Minnesota standout had one assist.
Chris Durno and Marek Svatos were the other forwards scratched Thursday, when Kevin Porter played his first game for Colorado after being recalled from the Monsters and skated on the Ryan O’Reilly-centered line.
The Avalanche next play Sunday afternoon, at Dallas against the Stars.
