FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Taylor Helbig scored 14 points to help Holy Family defeat Olathe 68-34 in the semifinals of the Colorado High School 3A girls state basketball tournament Friday night.

Sarah Talamantes added 10 points for No. 2 seed Holy Family (29-1). The two-time defending champions won their 23rd straight game.

Morgan Stansberry led Olathe (25-1) with 14 points and 13 rebounds. The Pirates lost one of their top scorers, Emily Brummett, to a knee injury with 3:04 left in the first quarter.

Holy Family scored the first seven points of the game and extended its lead to 31-7. Kylie Tait’s two free throws got Olathe as close as 31-11, but Holy Family converted four straight turnovers into eight points to take a 40-11 lead late in the second quarter.
