GOLDEN, Colo.—Jurors failed to reach a verdict in the case of a Colorado woman accused of trying to arrange the murder of her ex-husband, a deputy district attorney.
The trial of 36-year-old Elinor Dvir of Denver ended in a hung jury on Thursday. Prosecutors haven’t said whether they plan another trial.
Dvir is charged with solicitation of first-degree murder and other counts. Prosecutors say she tried to hire an undercover police officer posing as a hit man to kill Richard Nedlin in his Aspen home.
Nedlin is a deputy district attorney for Pitkin County, which includes Aspen. Court records say Dvir and Nedlin were in a child-custody dispute.
The trial was in Jefferson County, where the alleged attempt to hire a hit man was made.
