DENVER—Two Colorado tickets won $1 million and $200,000, respectively, by matching the first five numbers in Saturday’s Powerball drawing, the Colorado Lottery said.

The randomly selected numbers were 6, 16, 20, 31, and 36. The Powerball was 8 and the Power Play was 5.

A Power Play ticket sold in Wheat Ridge won $1 million for matching the five white numbers, but not the red Powerball, said Erika Gonzalez, a spokeswoman for the Colorado Lottery. The ticket was sold at Farmers Market Company at 9491 W. 44th Ave. The store will receive a $3,000 bonus.

A second ticket without the $1 Power Play option also matched the five white numbers to win $200,000. That ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven at 4040 E. 8th Ave. in Denver, Gonzalez said. The store will receive $2,000.

The winners did not immediately come forward.

A ticket sold in New Jersey matched all six numbers to win the jackpot worth $211.7 million.

Powerball was created in 1992 and launched in Colorado in 2001. The game is now played in 41 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The jackpot was expected to be worth an estimated $20 million for Wednesday.

Drawings are held Wednesday and Saturday nights.
