A sold-out welcomed the appropriately ear-splitting Jimi Hendrix tribute on Sunday, a sprawling, all-star revue that visited the breadth of the guitar master’s short but brilliant catalog with turns from Joe Satriani, Jonny Lang, Vernon Reid and many others. A peak at the set list (see the photo essay) shows just how jam-packed the schedule was, with some songs suffering from guitar overload. Still, the show was a testament to Hendrix’ enduring genius and appeal.
