With spring in the air, Woodward at Copper is dropping the price of a Winter Camp Day offered Friday-Monday through March 28, giving potential freeride skiers and snowboarders a $30 discount on a full day of indoor-outdoor instruction in the ways of the New School. Campers age 8 and older who are comfortable on intermediate terrain or higher can spend the day learning tricks for $129 if they have their own lift ticket, $169 if they don’t. The Winter Camp Day makes use of indoor facilities such as trampolines and foam pits in the Barn before eating lunch (included) and taking new skills to the snow in Copper Mountain’s terrain parks. Girls get a day of their own at the Women’s Winter Camp Day on March 28, with dedicated female coaches. Helmets are required, and skateboards are encouraged.
