Denver’s weather roller-coaster continues this week, with temperatures climbing to the upper 60s again Monday before plunging into the 30s with a good chance of heavy snow Tuesday and Wednesday, the National Weather Service in Boulder said Sunday.
After the midweek cold snap, temperatures should rise again by the end of the week, forecasters said.
Rain and snow will move into the metro region Tuesday afternoon, with a 50 percent chance of snow Tuesday night and 40 percent chance Wednesday morning. Highs might not get out of the 30s on Wednesday.
Forecasters are not yet saying exactly how much snow to expect, but noted in the forecast: “Significant snowfall amounts are possible with this storm with the most favored areas in and near the Front Range foothills and immediate plains.”
