NEW YORK — Dish Network Corp., the second-largest satellite-TV provider, has sued DirecTV Inc., claiming that advertising about the price and quality of high-definition television service is false.
The complaint, filed Monday in federal court in Manhattan, is a countersuit to DirecTV’s February lawsuit claiming that Dish engaged in false advertising when it said Dish subscribers would pay less for the same service DirecTV provides.
In Monday’s filing, Dish denied all of DirecTV’s claims and asked for a jury trial.
