The woman who has served as the treasurer of the Colorado Film and Video Association since 1996 is now charged with stealing tens of thousands of dollars from the group she worked to promote.

According to court documents, the Denver District Attorney’s office has indicted Catherine Moore on two counts of theft involving losses of more than $20,000 and one count of unauthorized use of a financial device.

According to an arrest affidavit, Moore reported at the Dec. 9, 2009 board meeting the CFVA had a “cash on hand” balance of $19,654 but when another board member double checked the account he found only $190.
