LONGMONT, Colo.—A Longmont woman accused of leaving her baby nephew unattended in a bathtub faces criminal charges in the boy’s drowning death.
Twenty-seven-year-old Andromeda Ann Sosa faces charge including negligent child abuse after her 10-month-old nephew drowned in February.
Authorities say Sosa left the boy, Jeremiah, alone in 8 inches of water while she made phone calls. Sosa returned to find the boy unresponsive. She called 911, but the boy was pronounced dead at Longmont United Hospital.
Sosa surrendered to Boulder County authorities on Monday. She is free on $50,000 bond.
