It was love at first (and second) sight between man and dog.
“She’s awesome,” Olympic gold medalist Steve Holcomb said Thursday night at Denver International Airport.
Holcomb, who won gold in the four-man bobsled in Vancouver, was reunited with his new dog, Bailey, a 2-year-old golden retriever, who arrived on a late flight from New York.
The two of them first met on “The Today Show” this month. Holcomb was on the show being interviewed, and Bailey was on because she was a shelter dog at Animal Care and Control of New York. The organization has a weekly rescue segment on the show.
