FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Rep. Betsy Markey is talking to voters in Fort Collins this weekend. But not about her health care vote—about distracted driving.
The Democrat has scheduled a summit at Colorado State University to discuss distracted driving and strategies to improve driver safety.
Markey has not scheduled any public events to discuss the health care overhaul signed into law this week. Her office says the congresswoman’s public schedule will be limited following a threatening call to her office after she voted in favor of President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul.
In an op-ed published Friday, Markey wrote that she voted for the final version because she said it will help small businesses provide insurance, among other reasons.
