College basketball championships aren’t the only game in town this month. Denver’s social scene was hopping the past several days: the University of Denver honored Gen. George Casey, the U.S. Army’s 36th chief of staff, at the 2010 Founders Day Gala; Mount Evans Hospice celebrated the 150th anniversary of the Colorado gold rush by hosting Gold Fever, a dinner, dance and auction at Mount Vernon Country Club; and Excelsior Youth Center saluted its Triumphant Women for 2010 at Passport: Taste, Travel, Triumph.
