Denver Police today arrested a sexually violent predator whose whereabouts were unknown after he failed to register as a sex offender.
Jacob Joseph Medina, 26, was arrested without incident at about 4 p.m. at a northwest Denver business, police said.
Records show Medina pleaded guilty in Denver in 2004 to attempted sexual assault on a child in exchange for having a more serious sex charge dismissed. He was sentenced to three years in state prison.
He pleaded guilty in 2008 to a previous charge of failing to register as a sex offender and was sentenced to 15 months, according to records.
