Adams County detectives on Thursday arrested Jonathan Harding, 43, for sending child pornography over the Internet.
Detectives from the sheriff’s office executed a search warrant at Harding’s Adams County home and seized a computer they said contained pornographic photos of children.
Harding was arrested and booked into the Adams County Detention Facility where he is being held on a $100,000 bond.
Deputies went to Harding’s home after investigators from the Denver Police Department and the national Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force told Adams County deputies he had allegedly sent child pornography over the Internet.
According to Adams County spokeswoman Sgt. Candi Baker, Harding was convicted in New York for attempted sexual assault on a child and possession of child pornography.
Because of those convictions, Harding is classified as a “sexually violent predator,” Baker said.
