The Denver Botanic Gardens is ramping up its programming schedule for the arrival of spring planting and warm weather. These offerings aren’t just about plants. For instance, “Hooked on Hardscape” is a four-part class series in which students learn how to design and construct functional and fetching garden infrastructure. Spring’s fresh air and blossoms mean the time is right to learn a new skill. Something to consider: The roster of spring workshops at Boulder Arts & Crafts, a long-standing cooperative gallery. Country Club: A voyeur’s view
Denver’s Old House Society hosts a guided walking tour of the exclusive Country Club neighborhood on April 10. The tour focuses on the history and architecture of this area, which has historically been a hub for the city’s rich and famous. The two-hour event will begin at 1 p.m. and will be followed by light refreshments at one of the homes in the tour. The cost is $10.
