ANDERSON RANCH ARTS CENTER: Announced the appointment of Barbara Bloemink as executive director of the Snowmass center. Previously Bloemink was the curatorial director of the Smithsonian’s National Design Museum.
COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY: Announced that V. Chandrasekar, a professor of electrical and computer engineering whose research is helping to revolutionize weather radar, has been named a Finland Distinguished Professor by the Finnish Meteorological Institute, the University of Helsinki, a consortium of Finnish industries and the Finnish Agency for Technology and Innovation. Chandrasekar will receive a $1.5 million prize.
