Walk/run to fight lung cancer
Walk, run, tumble, sit, sprint, sprawl, crawl, dance, prance, stroll, cajole, saunter, meander, hop, skip or jump, just break your stride for lung cancer, say organizers of the April 24 Lung Cancer Foundation event at Boulder Reservoir. The Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation and its Colorado affiliate, the Mary Baretta “Grace” Fund, will host a the walk/run in memory of Mary Baretta, who died of lung cancer despite never having smoked. Meditation guru promotes peace
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, right, will bring his message of peace and empowerment to Denver and Boulder on April 20-21, hosted by the Art of Living Foundation. “World Peace through Inner Peace: an Evening of Wisdom & Meditation” will begin at 7 p.m. April 20 in the Seawell Ballroom at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts and at 7 p.m. April 21 at the Nalanda Event Center at Naropa in Boulder.
