PUEBLO, Colo.—Officials are investigating a suspicious death after a rancher in southern Colorado found the skull of a man missing since last October.
The skull was identified using dental records as belonging to 35-year-old Benjamin Clark of Pueblo, who was reported missing after his burned-out car was found in eastern Pueblo County.
A rancher trying to catch a calf found the skull April 2. Another search of the area turned up more remains and documents that belonged to Clark.
The sheriff’s office says the remains appear to have been scattered by animals as far as two miles away from where the vehicle burned.
