A man found dead Wednesday morning in Boulder Reservoir has been identified as Mark M. Heffron.

Boulder County Coroner Tom Faure said Heffron, 46, was a Boulder resident. Faure said foul play is not suspected in Heffron’s death and that an autopsy was to be performed later Wednesday.

Heffron was found at 6:27 a.m. near the boathouse at Boulder Reservoir, which is in northeast Boulder.

Police spokeswoman Sarah Huntley said the body was discovered by the coach of the University of Colorado rowing team, who notified maintenance personnel at the lake. The maintenance personnel called 911.

She said emergency responders were able to pull the body — which was submerged and facedown about 4 feet from a dock — onto the shore. Huntley said Heffron was appropriately dressed for someone who planned to swim in the reservoir. Howard Pankratz, The Denver Post
