Gary Wilson will become Denver’s acting director of corrections and undersheriff, Mayor John Hickenlooper announced Wednesday.
Wilson, a division chief dealing with technology and special projects, will replace William Lovingier, who is retiring.
Wilson, 40, said he will be in an “acting” role since Hickenlooper is running for governor. After the gubernatorial campaign is done, a final decision will be made on how to fill the post permanently, Wilson said.
