A new brewery backed by a Texas-based investment firm plans to open in southwestern Colorado next week.
Managing partner Scot Elliot of Austin-based SEAR Capitol LP says the Bayfield Brewing Co. is scheduled to open April 15 in Bayfield, creating four jobs immediately. Elliott estimates the brewery could hire 20 to 40 more people if SEAR decides to add a canning line.
