What passengers on the plane had to say when they were finally released:
“We didn’t have any idea what was going on until the police officers came on the plane and handcuffed a guy in first class. That’s when I knew it was serious.”
“As soon as the plane landed there was a lot of activity. They taped the door to the bathroom.”
“I wasn’t alarmed until the captain said ‘don’t be alarmed.'”
She said the captain said he would take away their cellphones if they used them.
“I’d never heard a threat like that before. That really concerned me.” she said.
“The guy made a couple of very stupid actions. And we ended up paying the price for it.”
“It was incredibly quiet but it was incredibly scary,” he said.
He said the air marshals handled things very well.
“Tell those guys I will buy them a car,” he said.
“It was a three hour flight that turned into a 24 hour day.”
