CORTEZ, Colo.—Police say they know who fired the shots that killed three people in a murder suicide in southwest Colorado, but have yet to figure out a motive.
Sgt. Dave Hart of the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office Thursday said 60-year-old Dale A. Thayer shot two others inside a trailer before killing himself.
The other two victims have been identified as 45-year-old Jeffrey Maez and 41-year-old Stephanie Ann Morris.
Their bodies were found April 8.
