A juvenile slashed her older sister’s face with a knife at a light rail stop after the two argued, police said.

The incident happened at about 9:30 p.m. at 30th and Downing streets, said Sonny Jackson, a Denver Police Department spokesman.

The young girl, 16, was arrested on suspicion of assault. Her name was not released because she’s a juvenile.

The victim, 19, was taken to a local hospital to be treated for the gash. Her injury is not life-threatening.

The light rail stop was closed for a short time as police investigated the incident.

Police did not say what the two argued about.
