The Colorado State University women’s golf team was tied for second after the second round of the Mountain West Championship at Black Horse Golf Course in Seaside, Calif.
The Rams shot a 14-over-par 302 on Friday to stand at 32-over 608, tied with Texas Christian, 11 strokes behind tournament leader New Mexico.
CSU’s Natalie Stone was in fourth place after a 2-over 74 in the second round put her at 6-over 150, one stroke ahead of teammate Kasey Claussen and five strokes behind the leader, Rebecca Hellborn of New Mexico.
DU to dedicate soccer stadium.
Denver will dedicate its University of Denver Soccer Stadium at CIBER Field tonight at 6:45 p.m. with a ceremony between the Pioneers’ women’s and men’s games.
The women play Wyoming at 4 p.m. The men face Division NCAA II national champion Fort Lewis immediately after the dedication. The men’s game also features a silent auction with signed Major League Soccer and DU jerseys among the giveaways and prizes.
