It has been described as “masa madness” and a “tortilla tussle,” but it always boils down to this: Clinica Tepeyac’s annual friend- raiser, Tortillas for Tepeyac, is an action-packed luncheon where local celebrities compete for the coveted Golden Rolling Pin award while building awareness for the Globeville medical center that in 2009 provided care to some 14,398 uninsured Denver-area residents.
Meanwhile, plans for the first Kaleidoscope Ball: Through the Eyes of a Child were announced when friends of the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s gathered at Strings restaurant.
