DENVER—The vice president is coming to Colorado to campaign for a Democrat seeking re-election in a tough district.
Vice President Joe Biden is headlining an April 30 fundraiser for Rep. Betsy Markey. Markey’s office confirmed the visit Tuesday.
Markey represents an eastern Colorado district where Republicans outnumber Democrats.
The fundraiser at a Denver hotel is open only to donors. Ticket prices start at $150.
The Biden visit marks the second time in a row vice presidents have campaigned for Colorado’s 4th District. In 2008, then-vice president Dick Cheney stumped for former Rep. Marilyn Musgrave, who lost to Markey a few months later.
Biden is also headlining an April 23 fundraiser in Pittsburgh for Democratic Rep. Mark Critz.
