Colorado schoolboys from the Class of 2010 remain shut out of Division I basketball for next season.
But a stalwart from a year ago and potentially another a year from now have secured Div. I spots.
Thomas Bropleh, who graduated from George Washington in 2009, signed Tuesday to play at Boise State; and Brett Olson, a junior at Highlands Ranch, verbally committed to Denver.
Bropleh, All-Colorado by The Denver Post and who is spending this school year at New Hampton Prep in New Hampshire, led GW to the Class 5A title game as a senior. He’s a 6-foot-5, 215-pound forward who averaged 18 points and six rebounds in prep school.
“He’s pretty ecstatic,” GW coach Michael Rogers said.
Bropleh had drawn interest from the likes of Northeastern, LaSalle and Northern Colorado.
The 6-4 Olson, 5A all-state honorable mention by The Denver Post, helped lead Highlands Ranch to a 21-5 record. He’s the Pioneers’ first pledge from the Class of 2011.
