Any question about whether or not the Rams were going to open Thursday’s first round of the NFL draft likely were answered in recent days in a quiet workout in Norman, Okla.
It was the last on-field activity for the player who will be the No. 1 pick.
Sam Bradford threw for Rams offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur and quarterbacks coach Dick Curl. And it was the Rams’ coaches who picked the passes they wanted thrown, most of which came from under center.
The coaches picked the situations they wanted Bradford to replicate, quizzed him on what his reads would be if a defense had been on the field and what he would have done against the blitz or a given coverage.
In short, they coached him like he was at practice.
